Animals to be treated better than or as good as humans?
How many of you have heard of people who treat their dogs/cats/etc. better than their human friends? Is this good or bad?
I’m always told I need to take all of my animals to the vet. Unfortunately, I have 13 guinea pigs, a cat, a dog, and a rabbit… they are all healthy, adorable and well taken care of. It is just to take them in… much less cure them of any unknown symptoms. Am I one of those awful animal abusers – or is it okay just to take care of my animals and love them until they die?
Any of you think it’s stupid to pay thousands of dollars for some puppies or kitties when you could be paying off your college bill or buying a nice car?
Who thinks that animal shelters are good, a little strict, but tend to condemn you if you submitt an animal to them and don’t have a full health record of their vet care?

I think we should treat them as best as we can. Sometimes, finances don’t allow full medical care. I do think we should at least get their vaccinations and take them in when they are really sick or injured. Sometimes just a phone call to the vet is plenty as they can recommend home remedies and avoid costly visits. Just remember, pets can’t take care of themselves; they depend on you to do that. That is why pet insurance is important; especially to owners of more than one pet. I don’t think you are cruel, and I understand how you feel about your money. But remember, when you took them in, you were saying, I’ll take care of you NO MATTER WHAT the expense or procedure. Unconditional love won’t make an injured pet better.
Very good question,I have a pug and he is treated like a family member by all our family. You have a good point about college and I think you just need to have what animals you can afford to take care of properly, they are expensive. About the car same answer but will add life will always be more important tha a car. Shelters , wont use them.
Nah,treat them like you’d treat your son or daughter. Like your own loved one. U want the best for them,and give it to them to your best ability. Somethings these celebrities do,can be a little ridiculous but they have the thousands to do it so why not..
I plan on making my own little den for animals sometime.
